Cheer-up attempts by friends and family usually don&#8217;t succeed or are only successful in the short term.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s common to feel:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>worthless<\/li>\n<li>hopeless and flawed<\/li>\n<li>despicable<\/li>\n<li>permanently emotionally damaged<\/li>\n<li>undesirable<\/li>\n<li>or see themselves as a &#8220;bad&#8221; person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Tips<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Try to talk to your friends and family about your feelings and worries. Talking about it often feels liberating and thus helps.<\/li>\n<li>Try to take up a hobby (again) and to meet up with friends again.
