PTSD symptoms

The CATS questionnaire is a short, freely accessible screening instrument directly based on the DSM-5 criteria for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is a measure of potentially traumatic events and of posttraumatic stress symptoms. A self- and caregiver-report version is available.

The Cries-8 is a widely used screening tool to assess risk for post traumatic stress symptoms in children and adolescents aged 8 and above. In comprises 4 intrusion and 4 avoidance symptoms. The CRIES-8 performs equally as well as the Cries-13 and is therefore recommended as the preferential instrument.

The ITQ is an instrument for assessing the core symptoms of PTSD and complex PTSD (CPTSD). The questionnaire is based on the criteria of the ICD-11 and is suitable for children and adolescents from the age of 16 years.
